7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Division - Ardennes-Alsace Campaign

Each year the FAAA choose a non Airborne unit to portray for some of its major and minor events.  In 2009, the group adopted the 7th Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division, both early and late war.

The first deployment saw us at our local training area at COAM and here we represented the unit in the Ardennes.

It's Febuary 1945 and troops of the 3rd Infantry Division in the "Colmar Pocket" dig in along the Southern shoulder of the Bulge.

The Platoon Leader orders a reconnaisance of the farm on the outskirts of the village.  By tomorrow, 1st Platoon will have a new Command Post!
