THE
MILITARY VEHICLE TRUST NATIONAL EVENT KEMBLE
July
2003 saw the first MVT National event to be run at KEMBLE the former
WW2 Airfield in Gloucestershire. On
one of the hottest weekends of the year, 22 members of the First Allied
Airborne Association deployed to the MVT's big event. For this show
the Association represented 3 separate unit displays: the 509th
Parachute Infantry Battalion during the Southern France Campaign, 506th
Parachute Infantry Regiment, Regimental Command Post Normandy and The
327th Glider Infantry Regiment Normandy D-Plus 12.
All
in all, an excellent weekend, with lots going on and plenty of potential
for more involvement in the
future.
